About the Job
We are looking for CRNA"s to provides anesthetic care for all types of patients and procedures. This will be in coordination with the anesthesiologist or supervising physician under the standards of the Department of Anesthesiology. You will administer anesthesia to patients during surgery/procedures and provide continuous observation of patients by monitoring the patient"s physical reaction to sedative, analgesics, and anesthetic agents.
CRNA Functions:
The ability to perform appropriate techniques of the anesthetic plan such as, but not limited to, insertion of the intravenous catheters, insertion of invasive monitoring catheters according to established protocol; endotracheal intubation and extubation; performing arterial punctures for interpretation of arterial blood gases.
Maintain in airway management and shall be familiar in the usage of all airway adjuncts.
Work within scope of delineated clinical privileges.
Take appropriate precautions to minimize risks of infection of patients, and other health care professionals.
Participate in the pre-anesthetic evaluation of the patients and the selection of anesthetic agents and techniques.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited nursing school
CRNA-Graduate of an accredited anesthesia education program
Experience:
2 years Professional nursing experience
1 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area
Licenses and Certifications:
Board Certified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS within the first 30 days of employment.
Current RN license in the State of Texas.
