Are you an experienced problem solver who thrives in high-pressure situations? We are seeking a Permanent Crisis Manager to join our dynamic team. This exciting role will put you at the forefront of our organization, working directly with at-risk populations and collaborating with community partners to ensure the best outcomes in times of crisis. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, resilient, and compassionate individual who is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a proven track record in crisis management.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Crisis Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
1. Developing, implementing, and overseeing crisis management protocols and procedures.
2. Working directly with at-risk populations, providing support and guidance during crises.
3. Liaising with community partners, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective responses to crises.
4. Providing training and guidance to staff and volunteers on crisis management procedures and best practices.
5. Conducting post-crisis evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the response and identify areas for improvement.
6. Managing communications during a crisis, including providing updates to stakeholders and handling media inquiries.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Crisis Manager, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in crisis management, preferably within a non-profit or community-based organization.
2. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
3. Proven ability to work effectively with at-risk populations, demonstrating empathy, respect, and understanding.
4. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to make difficult decisions under pressure.
5. Experience in developing and implementing crisis management protocols and procedures.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
8. A degree in social work, psychology, emergency management, or a related field is preferred.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required during a crisis.
