About the Job
Current LMHP in Virginia or LMHP-E (license-eligible) in the state of Virginia.
Master’s degree in social services with 2+ years and experience in working with youth.
Ability to work under supervision in order to gain skills of assessing treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions as requested.
Knowledge and experience with alternative and experiential therapies.
Bi-lingual speaking skills (Spanish and English).
Ability to maintain all required documentation.
Core Competencies
Knowledge of DSS and ORR policies and regulations or the ability to learn and apply what is learned.
Ability to provide individual, group therapy, and family therapy within scope of experience.
Considerable knowledge and skill in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
Previous training or ability to complete required training in program specific assessments such as the CSSR-S, PHQ-SADS, Trauma Screeners and other assessments.
Assist LTFC residents in stabilization, and help them to adjust to being in LTFC by teaching social skills and working with any existing behavioral issues in collaboration with the assigned case manager and clinician.
Ability to keep record of all completed sessions for quarterly reports.
Ability to provide crisis interventions within scope of experience.
Knowledge of multicultural sensitivity.
