We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Criminal Removal Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This unique opportunity is perfect for a seasoned attorney who is passionate about immigration law, litigation, and making a real difference in people's lives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in representing clients in complex removal proceedings, often involving criminal charges. This position requires an individual who is fluent in Spanish and has a strong commitment to social justice.
Responsibilities
1. Represent clients in removal proceedings, appeals, and federal litigation related to immigration.
2. Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal briefs, motions, and appeals.
3. Provide legal advice to clients regarding their potential for removal or deportation.
4. Collaborate with our team of attorneys on complex cases involving criminal charges and immigration consequences.
5. Develop and implement strategies for successful litigation in both immigration and federal courts.
6. Participate in community outreach and education events, providing accurate information on immigration law and policies.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on changes in immigration law and policy.
8. Work closely with clients to gather necessary information and documentation, ensuring that they understand the legal processes involved.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing with the relevant State Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, with a specific focus on removal defense.
4. Extensive experience in litigation, particularly in cases involving criminal charges.
5. Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is required.
6. Demonstrated ability to handle high caseloads and work under pressure.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
9. Commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards as an attorney.
10. Passionate about social justice and advocating for the rights of immigrants.
