The Crew Supervisor - Facility Maintenance role is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $25.63 - $28.20 per hour (equivalent to $53,310 - $58,656 annually); however, an exact salary will be determined based upon the selected candidate's qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy. The ideal candidate for this position will supervise and lead employees performing a variety of facilities management duties.
As the Crew Supervisor in Facility Maintenance, you'll:
- Assign and check work of assigned crew members;
- Supervise and participate in the repair and maintenance of municipal grounds, buildings, building components, and facilities;
- Supervise and participate in the operation of light to medium equipment, air compressors, and related tools and equipment;
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to electrical equipment and facilities;
- Inspect building systems and components, such as HVAC, water heaters, and electrical equipment;
- Install mechanical equipment, such as HVAC, as needed;
- Maintain and make general repairs to mechanical equipment on an emergency or scheduled basis;
- Maintain appropriate records of maintenance work performed within various city facilities;
- Utilizes CMMS (computerized maintenance management software) for work scheduling and tracking;
- Discuss job requirements with Facilities Manager, receive detailed instructions from Facilities Manager, and make and adjust work assignments;
- Perform or assist in performing the more difficult tasks;
- Ensure crews are in conformance with department policy and safety regulations;
- Assist in developing training programs to develop staff in addition to training and instructing staff;
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment;
- Assist in the procurement of maintenance and equipment contracts;
- Oversee work performed by third-party contractors;
- Perform related work, as needed.
