Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers on job sites.
- Operate heavy machinery including pile hammers, cranes, and excavators.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards.
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
- Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
- Use Heavybid software for project management and cost estimation.
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
- Provide technical assistance, recommending construction methods and equipment to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and direct work activities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering or Construction industry.
- Proven experience as an ironworker, carpenter foreman, or construction foreman.
- Proficiency in managing crews and supervising job sites.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as pile hammers, cranes, and excavators.
- Familiarity with Heavybid software or similar project management software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
