Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the credit approval and review process, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations.
- Regularly review and analyze credit reports and credit risk, implementing credit scoring models as necessary.
- Handle account reconciliation and manage the collections process.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of credit analysts, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Use advanced Excel skills to develop and maintain complex financial models and reports.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve credit processes and procedures, with a focus on efficiency and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections, with at least 2 years of experience managing or supervising credit analysts in a consumer lending business.
- Proven experience with credit approval, credit review, credit reports, and credit risk.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with credit scoring models and account reconciliation.
- Excellent mentoring and team management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Thorough understanding of federal and state consumer lending regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
