We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the organization's financial health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit granting process, assessing creditworthiness, and mitigating potential financial risks. This position requires a strong understanding of financial statement analysis, payment terms, and the ability to review credit policies and create credit memos.
Responsibilities:
As a Credit Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Manage the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers.
2. Conduct detailed financial statement analysis to evaluate the financial health and creditworthiness of existing and prospective clients.
3. Develop and implement effective payment terms that align with company objectives and customer needs.
4. Review, update, and enforce credit policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current industry standards and company goals.
5. Create and manage credit memos and other financial documents as required.
6. Collaborate with other departments to resolve credit issues promptly and effectively.
7. Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
9. Use Avalara or equivalent software for tax compliance and other financial processes.
10. Provide training and support to the credit team members as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Credit Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in Avalara or equivalent financial software.
4. Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit policies, and payment terms.
5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on detailed analysis.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
8. A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial management software.
10. Strong knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to credit management.
