Credit Analyst - Bank of Hope

Description

• Loan Processing:

o Collect necessary documents from clients and maintain well organized credit files.

o Spread financial statements or tax returns to generate relevant ratios including DCRs under the supervision of a portfolio manager.

o Assist in loan closing and funding including obtaining signatures on loan documents according to the Bank’s procedures.

o Prepare credit memos that are simple or with minor complexity; and present credit memos to appropriate lending authority for approval.

• Loan Maintenance/Monitoring:

o Monitor loan covenants and conditions per loan agreements and report violations to portfolio managers or relationship managers.

o Prepare simple credit memos to report covenant/condition violations and to approve modifications and to make cash secured loans.

o Process daily line advances for lines of credit and follow up on expired insurance policies.

o Prepare various internal reports and payments such as LAR, monthly G/L certification, and invoices.

o Conduct site visits and on-site interviews under the supervision of a portfolio manager.

• Compliance:

o Comply with regulatory requirements including Reg B, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act, CRA, Privacy, and Security.

o Comply with the Bank’s security program, including but not limited to:

o Review and comply with the End-User Computing Agreement.

o Acquire good knowledge on functions and usage of computer systems as related to the assigned job functions.

o Be current and knowledgeable in industry’s trend in safeguarding the Bank against confidential data leak, identity theft, fraudulent activities, and computer security threats.

o Reports suspicious activities to manager, Chief Risk Officer or Information Security Officer.

• Other Responsibilities:

o Provide administrative support to loan officers, portfolio managers, relationship managers.

o Seek opportunities to grow relationship with customers.

o Participate in community organizations and/or events to help the Bank meet its CRA Objectives.

o Assume additional duties as requested

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum Education Level: Associates Degree preferably in Accounting or Finance.

• English: Written: Advanced    Verbal: Fluent

• Korean: Written: Intermediate Verbal: Conversational

• Computer/Systems Knowledge Requirements: Basic

• Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Required: Excellent presentation skills.

• Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.

The salary range for this full-time position is $24.04 Hourly - $26.45 Hourly + bonus + benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
