Job Title: Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our client, a leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. In this role, you will support daily financial operations, assist in maintaining accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. • Financial Record Maintenance:

  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Expense and Budget Management:

  • Assist in monitoring expenses and budget variances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Compliance and Audits:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

• Inventory and Cost Accounting:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to track product costs.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and prepare cost variance reports.

• General Support:

  • Assist senior accountants with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations.

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or a similar fast-moving industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) is a plus.

• Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
