- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience specialized training in graphic design and periodical production Req
- Specialized training in web page development and multimedia editing Pref
- 4-7 years Experience with the Web environment, including a solid knowledge of Web authoring and publishing tools Req
- 4-7 years Relevant experience in graphic design and traditional and digital publishing Req
- Must be able to quickly conceive and create attractive, user-centric designs, layouts, and web pages that meet high editorial and technical standards while supporting CS business goals and volunteer needs.
- Must exhibit mastery of graphic design and prepress, desktop publishing, and post-production applications, including the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge, Distiller), other file-format-manipulation programs (graphics, file compression, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent Mac and PC skills required.
- Deep knowledge and strong command of typography, design, layout, production, and printing.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient at project management and problem solving.
- Familiarity with audio and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premier, Audition) and social networking applications strongly desired.
- Print production processes and technology
- Advertising & agency operations
- Ability to manage and mitigate situations
- Communicating with diplomacy, tact, and clarity
