Job Details
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end closing process, including preparing closing journal entries, posting accrual entries, and verifying processes to ensure compliance in accordance with GAAP.
Act as primary resource for technical accounting issues and compliance with all GAAP pronouncements and financial policies and procedures
Perform account analysis and reconciliation on a variety of accounts on the balance sheets and income statements.
Maintain the Accounts Receivables (AR) process for the organization including review and entry, managing customers, and receiving payments.
Maintain fixed asset ledger and general ledger activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger to fixed assets sub-ledger, monthly adjusting entries, and maintenance of depreciation schedules.
Manage and review inventory and job costing processes. Conduct and audit bill of material reviews to ensure inventory values are updated and accurate.
Assistance with the accounts payable processing from invoice entry, vendor communication, ACH payments/wire transfers, and similar.
Assistance with bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations as required.
Assistance with budget preparation and analysis.
Assist Director of Finance in the preparation of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, cash flow, income statement).
Analyze and report on trends in key performance indicators associated with the business including communication of results to management, as required.
Ensure an efficient and effective system of internal controls and provide leadership in improving the internal control environment.
Oversee tax accrual preparation, planning, reporting and compliance, with support from internal team and external tax firms.
Act as a lead contact with external auditors.
Participate in relationships with banks and CPAs.
Support all other company departments as needed.
Support all ISO standards and activities.
Adhere to federal and state regulations.
Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Master’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.
Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) license.
Minimum of seven (7) years of Accounting/Finance related experience
Minimum of three (3) years’ public accounting experience preferred.
Strong technical and communication skills.
Experience with an ERP system (Plex software preferred).
Prior experience in a private equity environment preferred.
Prior experience in IPO readiness/preparation preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing industry and inventory accounting preferred.
