About the Job
The Kodiak Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is looking for a highly dependable individual to become a Court Case Manager 1 jury clerk (salary range 10).
This job classification may promote to salary range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court.

The Position
In this position you can expect to create jury panels, jury panel cards, and record of juror attendance reports, update jury pay information, make travel and hotel reservations and review bills for Grand Jury expenses for accuracy. You will order and maintain petit and grand jury panel lists, summons petit jurors, process routine requests for excusal/deferral of jury duty, copy questionnaires, direct jurors to appropriate area, prepare orders to show cause and civil bench warrants.
This position will also perform front counter duties that include responding to a variety of questions in person and by phone concerning court procedures, Alaska Statutes, and Rules of Court; perform daily bookkeeping duties which include running daily cashbook reports, reviewing disbursement requests and holding accounts, and preparing weekly checks. Also responsible for all vital stats duties.
The Work Environment
The Kodiak Courthouse is located on Mission Road. The staff includes two Court Case Managers 1 and two Court Case Managers 2 under the supervision of the Clerk of Court. In your role, you will become a part of the Kodiak Trial Court helping to fulfill the mission of the Alaska Court System.
The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Personal leave accrual is based on years of creditable state service. Those new to state service will accrue 4 weeks of paid leave (with cash value) over the course of their first year of service. That accrual rate will increase after 2 years of service.
