Job DescriptionThe Country Manager - Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the sales strategy in the US. This leadership position entails managing the sales team, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong customer relationships while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The Country Manager will collaborate closely with regional and global teams to achieve sales targets and enhance market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overarching business goals and objectives.
- Identify key market opportunities, customer segments, and growth areas to drive sales and increase market share.
- Set and manage sales targets, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, cultivating a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales staff to elevate their skills and performance.
- Implement effective sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve team productivity and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within the US.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and decisions.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, pipeline, and market share, to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to address sales challenges and achieve performance targets.
- Ensure effective management of the sales pipeline, from lead generation through to deal closure.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment between sales activities and company objectives.
- Provide feedback and insights to the product development team to inform product enhancements and new offerings.
- Work with finance and supply chain teams to effectively manage sales resources and inventory.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance updates to senior management, including the Regional VP of Sales or Chief Sales Officer.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and support sales initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Education: Masters degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years Sales Experience
- Proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably as a Country Manager or in a similar position with responsibility for national sales management.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets, managing sales teams, and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in manufacturing companies is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating a sales team.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, complemented by a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Experience in the following preferred: DI (Ductile Iron) Pipe, GRP(Glass Reinforced Plastic) pipes, HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipes, OPVC (Oriented Polyvinyl Chloride) pipes, and Waste Water Systems.
