• Position stone slabs on fabrication tables using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Cut stone slabs to specifications using plans, diagrams, and measurements.
• Polish stone slabs to ensure a flawless and consistent finish.
• Inspect slabs for flaws, defects, and appropriate levels of finish before delivery.
• Maintain and inspect fabrication equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Record production hours and maintain logs as instructed by the Production Manager.
• Clean and organize the shop area to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet production schedules.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred (experience may replace education).
• Experience:
  • Two to three years of stone fabrication experience.
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of raw stone materials, including identifying color, name, and thickness.
  • Ability to detect flaws or imperfections in stone.
  • Expertise in judging levels of polish and finish.
  • Physical dexterity to operate polishing equipment evenly across surfaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret plans and diagrams.
  • Candidates should be familiar with materials, such as granite, quartz, marble, and other engineered or natural stone surfaces.
• Licensing:
  • Must obtain a forklift license within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong eyesight, including depth and color perception and peripheral vision.
  • Physical dexterity for handling tools and operating machinery.
