K.C. Bobcat is an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles and more. We provide service both in the field and in our facility.
K.C. Bobcat is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Counter Support Specialist position in the KC metro branch operations, located in Kansas City, MO. This position would report to our Blue Springs, Olathe, or Tracy location.
The Counter Support Specialist assist and backs-up parts, rental, service, and supplies departments across the division. Whether at the counter, on the phone or through email, the CSS assist customers by finding out their project’s needs, answering questions, creating solutions, and ensuring a smooth and quick sales process. The CSS is responsible for traveling to the different K.C. Bobcat branches and assisting with counter support and completion of different division projects.
As the Counter Support Specialist partners with branch and department managers to help with counter coverage and maintain positive dealer relationships, you will need the following to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Identify customer needs and provide expert advice on Bobcat parts and accessories.

Utilize in-depth knowledge of Bobcat products to offer accurate advice and recommendations.

Provide detailed information on the features, benefits, and compatibility of various parts and accessories.

Suggest additional products or services that may enhance the customer’s equipment performance or solve potential issues.

Promote and upsell Bobcat parts, accessories, and services.

Assist in the development and implementation of sales promotions and specials.

Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
-
Advanced computer skills, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Docs.

Excellent communication, both written and oral.

Strong telephone skills
-
Strong customer service centered experience.

Associate’s degree in business, construction or technical college preferred.

Ability to be flexible with work assignments and adjust as necessary.

Detail Oriented

Highly personable and adaptive to varied working environments.

This position will act as the utility player for the service department in our service department.
Physical Requirements

Occasionally lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds or pushing/pulling small objects

Experience with automotive/ag/construction equipment parts a plus.

Occasionally exposed to weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise

Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis
