Starshine Treatment Center is a residential treatment center that works with male adolescents ages 12-20. We are trauma informed, Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program that has been in operation 40+ years. We are nationally accredited, certified as a mental health provider by the Department of Health Care Services, and have a MediCal contract with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health. Starshine has a partnership with the University of Redlands Success Academy that provides tutoring, academic and vocational mentoring, throughout the youth's placement provides needs-based scholarships for teens wanting to attend college.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Counseling Position at Starshine Treatment Center, Inc. located in Highland, CA. The role involves providing counseling services and support to individuals in need, developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate records of client progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Associate Professional Counselor (ALPC), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). Licensed Clinicians (e.g. LCSW, LMFT) also encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in individual and group counseling
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in counseling
