Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by providing a variety of delegated therapeutic services, in accordance with licensing and regulations. Under the supervision of the primary Occupational Therapist, the COTA Assistant administers therapeutic treatment and engages and supports the patient in therapeutic activities and exercise regimes. The COTA strives to achieve the goals of the physician's plan of care and to support patients throughout the program.  

It is pediatric therapies but also working at our Behavioral Health Center managing groups as well daily in the morning.

Education & Experience: 

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Required 

• 1+ years experience in Occupational Therapy Preferred

 • 1+ years experience in direct inpatient rehab Preferred  

Licensure and Certification:

• Currently licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation. 
• BLS required. 

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
