Pay: $45-$50 for 4 units
Schedule: Part-time/Full-time
Role Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled COTA to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our pediatric clients. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support the development and implementation of therapeutic interventions that enhance the physical, cognitive, and social abilities of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Aid in assessing patients' abilities and limitations through standardized and non-standardized tests.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, the use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for daily living activities.
- Stay informed about best practices in occupational therapy, state and federal regulations, and professional standards of care.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and any changes in condition.
- Prepare and update reports for patient evaluations, discharge planning, and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Texas
- Experience in home health or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse client needs
