About the Job
DC Solar Inc. is seeking a full-time Cost Estimator to work at its office in Kingston, MA. Candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management.
Candidate duties will include:
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Source, onboard, manage, and approve subcontractor’s costs for projects you manage / Prepare project pay requests monthly (in coordination with senior management/accounting)
Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Assess cost-effectiveness of projects and services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Make project budget tracking sheets, update project budgets weekly, and report any budgetary issues/overruns to senior management/accounting.
Ability to travel to projects periodically for project meetings, and issue resolution and to meet/assist DC Solar field management with project planning, scheduling or problem-solving.
Candidate must have 12 months of work experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, BOX, and LinkedIn. Travel to Temecula, CA to attend business meetings twice a year is required, with each trip typically lasting 5 to 7 days. Salary: $84,198 to $87,198 per year.
