Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Estimator to join their team!

A Cost Estimator plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and pricing of bids for upcoming projects. This will be a collaborative environment where mentors and coaches support each other in learning and sharing knowledge. As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for creating execution plans and developing cost estimates for significant dredging projects.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed cost estimates for entire projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project scope and specifications.
Leverage operational knowledge to develop accurate and realistic cost estimates for operations.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and cost-effective solutions relevant to projects.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights necessary for precise cost estimation.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
Demonstrate proficiency in preparing hard bid project estimates, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
Provide detailed breakdowns of estimated costs and justifications for each component in hard bid submissions.
Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with estimated costs.
Collaborate with the finance team to track actual costs against estimated costs throughout project execution.
Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and value engineering to enhance project profitability.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's estimating processes and methodologies.
