Responsibilities:
The Cost Analyst will perform the following duties:
- Gather and analyze financial data (material purchases, labor costs, etc.) to uncover inefficiencies
- Generate strategies for obtaining highly competitive prices, analyzing the various ways and means to acquire telecommunications goods and services, customized pricing analysis reports and finding methods of optimizing the contract vehicles in use by customer agencies
- Provide price analyses of contract modifications and new services that support evaluations by the government
- Support pre-award price analysis and the development of alternatives and supporting documentation in areas such as document analysis of vendor price submissions to support negotiations and substantiate fair and reasonable price determinations by a CO
- Create IGCEs
- Create demand sets, collect reference prices, calculate price comparisons, and develop reports
- Leverage professional subscriptions that provide pricing analysis support
- Use and have access to governmental pricing tools, database and systems
- Monitor contracts' price competitiveness and assist in initiatives to seek lower prices from the contractors when needed
- Assist in implementing any price reductions through negotiation, research, and contract modifications
- Research and analyze prices from various sources for comparison to the other contracts.
- Provide price solicitation scope reviews.
- Evaluate the Economic Price Adjustment Price Refreshment.
- Provide for support for the EIS Price Resubmission required by the EIS contract vendors
- Provide pricing analysis for use in presentations, specialized and price reports, white papers, and position papers, and to brief the findings pertaining to pricing analysis
- Provide helpdesk support to customer agencies and host pricer training sessions, as required by the government
An Ideal Candidate has:
- US Citizenship
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
- Minimum eight years of telecommunications domain experience in the federal government:
- Virtual Private Network Service
