What the Role Involves:
Serve as the liaison between project engineers, subcontractors, customers, and accounting department with all job cost matters.
Collect daily foreman timesheets and code labor, equipment, trucking, materials and quantities into cost collection system.
Work with Project Engineers to ensure that all work is coded correctly across work activities.
Calculate daily performance reports and review with Project Managers to monitor actual cost to original budget by cost account.
Track and enter monthly owner and subcontractor estimates for approval by cost accountant.
Reconcile and approve invoices for payment to vendors and suppliers.
Act as primary backup to the Receptionist, which includes: Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls; Receive packages, letters, etc., as required and sign for parcels when necessary.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience:
Entry level position. Educational and experience requirements include degree in Business or Accounting.
Above average computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
