We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and manage all aspects of cost accounting within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly reporting, inventory management, annual budgeting, and financial analysis. You will play a crucial role in providing financial insights that will help in strategic decision-making and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the entire cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and margin reporting.
2. Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the senior management team.
3. Lead the annual budgeting process and manage the company's financial forecast.
4. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
5. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
8. Provide leadership and guidance to the cost accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as a CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting
3. Proficiency in monthly reporting, inventory management, annual budgeting, and financial analysis.
4. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices, as well as financial regulations and standards.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
6. Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in managing and developing a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
9. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
