Your Role:
As the Cost Accounting Manager, you will provide strategic direction and technical expertise to elevate the organization's cost accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the organization's Standard Cost Accounting processes.
- Mentoring and guiding the finance team to ensure adherence to best practices and continuous skill development.
- Establishing and maintaining standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to align with business objectives.
- Providing in-depth analysis of manufacturing costs and variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts related to standard costs.
- Partnering with production and purchasing teams to improve cost efficiency and accuracy.
- Overseeing inventory valuation and reconciliation of discrepancies between standard and actual costs.
- Presenting detailed cost analysis reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensuring compliance with all industry standards and regulations in cost accounting practices.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in cost accounting processes and systems.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Cost Accounting, with significant expertise in Standard Cost Accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of excellence and development.
- A BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership through data-driven insights.
- Experience in the food and beverage or manufacturing industry preferred.
- A proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
