Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the processing of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with external audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with income tax filings.
Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenditures to ensure they are within budgetary constraints.
Special Projects: Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
