About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on cost variances, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
- Perform cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and production cost tracking.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to develop accurate cost standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to cost accounting.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing cost-related data and analysis.
- Conduct regular audits of cost accounting processes and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
