Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily, and weekly reconciliations that verify operational production.
- Gather and compile cost information and maintain the ERP database.
- Works with outside vendors on inventory accuracies.
- Predict, plans, and records variable costs such as purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.
- Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
- Prepares necessary departmental and company-wide budgeting reports.
- Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
- Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
- Determines and recommends cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and improve reporting systems
o Salesforce
o Business Intelligence
o ERP
o HR Database
- Automate month end close
- Automate month end reporting
- Improve costing visibility and understanding
- Improve manufacturing variance and PPV visibility and understanding
- Develop and improve cost center and profit center reporting (DC vs CO for example)
- Drive improvements and savings in:
o Overtime
o Overheads
o Labor efficiencies
o Production efficiencies
o Scrap and waste
o Purchase price variance
- Work with Operations Management but also hold them accountable
- Inventory Analysis and Control
o Reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory
o Keep inventory lean
o Drive inventory accuracy
- Budgeting and Forecasting
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Experience in Accounting, costing or related business role
- Systems experience
- Detail orientated
