The Field Training Coordinator (FTC) will indirectly supervise the Field Training Officers (FTO) and designated Facility Field Training Coordinators in the assigned geographic regions. This position will provide technical oversight and direct the activities of facilities in relation to this specific program. The position will be involved in reviewing person centered assessments of Field Training Officers (FTO) within the region to ensure they maintain the integrity of Field Training program is in accordance with mission and goals of the program.
This position will be a resource, advocate and disseminator of information for the FTO's and facility administrators. Also, this position will work with regional directors and facility heads to meet program needs and objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Involved in communicating with facility heads and management teams about facility needs and gain insight into successful coordination and completion of program goals
- Tracking all Correctional Officer Field Training (COFT) procedures for the assigned geographic regions
- Reporting program needs, equipment or budgetary needs To the Field Training Program Manager
- Working with institutions administrators and staff and stay updated on operational policies, practices, standard operating procedures in areas of security, custody, program assignment, health and food services
- Coordinate and conduct training of new FTO's and ensure they are successful in conducting their duties in accordance with program guidelines

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
