Corporate Tax and Wealth Management Planning Attorney - Alliance Solutions

Our client is a mid-size firm that is seeking to hire an experienced Corporate Taxation and Estate Planning attorney. 5-10 years of on-point experience is preferred.

The focus of this role will include advising private companies & high net individuals on business entities, taxation, and estate planning.  This is an opportunity to handle very sophisticated tax and estate planning work in a collaborative firm culture at a firm that has a longstanding reputation as leaders in tax law.

Prior experience with tax compliance and planning practice as a C.P.A is preferred. Accounting experience including practice with a major national C.P.A. firm, or practice with an entrepreneurial local C.P.A. organization would provide the diverse background that would lead to success in this Associate or Senior Associate position.
The ability to anticipate how planned transactions and legal structures will work out in implementation when the accountants prepare financial statements and tax returns is a key skill sought for this role.

This is your opportunity to utilize your accounting background to handle tax controversy matters including: tax audits, tax appeals, tax litigation and tax collection. Such matters include both federal tax law and Ohio tax law. The combination of law and accounting is also extremely useful in transactions that involve creating new business ventures, acquiring real estate through limited liability companies and in buying and selling existing businesses.

In the estate area, the qualified attorney will have a background both planning for and administration of estates and trusts. Other duties may include the creation of nonprofit corporations and obtaining tax exemption approval.

The ideal candidate may offer the following qualifications:

Under graduate and/or Master’s Degree in accounting
Certified Public Accountant
JD with an active OH license
Masters of Law in Taxation
