Corporate Supplier Quality Manager –
Supplier Quality Manager, overseeing the development and management of suppliers to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 or QMS standards. Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, delivery, and costs through strategic planning and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance supplier quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain and update QMS procedures in the sourcing department.
• Establish quality accountability with critical suppliers and initiate continuous improvement projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all supplier quality issues.
• Develop and manage a training plan for quality inspectors.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Own and enhance Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Product Part Approval Processes (PPAP).
• Implement SQ systems across wind commodities systematically.
• Validate Suppliers First Article Inspection and perform customers FAI.
• Participate in the internal Audit and CAPA team.
• Implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for manufacturing processes and products.
Qualifications:
• Previous audit experience is necessary.
• Solid understanding of quality tools such as statistical process control, Six Sigma, Lean, root cause analysis, etc.
• Wide industry knowledge and knowledge of PCB and electronic components.
Preferred Education/Certifications/Methods:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related areas required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineering .
• Previous experience with Military specifications.
• Certified ISO 9001 auditor with knowledge of AS9100 standards.
• Knowledge of GD&T Inspection methods and equipment.
• Familiarity with APQP and associated tools.
