Summary
As a Corporate Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate, general accounting services, including preparing journal entries, assisting with preparation of monthly financial and departmental analysis reports, budgets and forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements, daily and monthly cash disbursements and compensation entries.

You will also be responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements, daily and monthly cash disbursements and compensation entries.

Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close procedures, including financial statement preparation and cash reconciliations, income/expense accruals, inter-company transactions, and analytical reviews
- Record quarterly compensation entries, including salary, bonus, etc., while maintaining confidentiality
- Record expense allocations using shared service agreements
- Work alongside Treasury group in a cash management capacity
- Perform accounting research and provide recommendations for proper treatment of specific transactions.
- Assist with payment tracking and review invoice coding for corporate journal entries
- Coordinate with fund accountants to ensure alignment with recording quarterly fees and due to related party items
- Aid in preparation of departmental budget analysis
- Aid in the development and documentation of all corporate accounting processes, procedures and controls
- Assist in audit processes
- Identify, evaluate and support the implementation of opportunities to improve process and reporting activities
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 2+ years’ public accounting experience or combination of public accounting and corporate or industry experience
- Proficient in Yardi or similar ERP
- Strong Excel skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced and continuously developing environment
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, communication and collaboration in a team environment
- Self-starter with superior analytical skills; a problem solver with an astute attention to detail
- Possesses good judgment, honesty, and utmost integrity
