Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Corporate Controller to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping talent, enhancing operational performance, and driving collaborative and profitable results. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the highest level of accuracy in financial reporting, managing controls to minimize risk, and effectively communicating opportunities for growth to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with third-party accounting services, Operations, and Human Resources teams to finalize and deliver hotel financials
- Conduct valid and effective P&L reviews to maximize financial results, timeliness, and accuracy
- Generate accurate forecasts, cash flows, and budgets in coordination with hotel, regional, and corporate teams
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting and research any discrepancies
- Review monthly hotel tax filings and ensure timely payments
- Analyze financial discrepancies and implement proactive process improvements
- Mentor and train other Controllers, leading key projects and initiatives in process development
- Oversee financial aspects of hotel transitions and treasury management
- Develop and oversee processes related to payment of mortgage, payroll, insurance, and taxes for all hotels
- Educate and empower external stakeholders on best practices and procedures
- Assist the Director of Accounting in ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in hospitality industry Accounting in a Centralized environment
- Experience driving process development to impact results
- Solution-oriented mindset

- Reduced team time spent and increased accuracy on key processes
- Ensured process compliance within and outside the Finance team
- Timely delivery of hotel financials and accurate execution of hotel transitions
- Enhanced controller knowledge of accounting practices
- Increased satisfaction among owners and Operations teams in their interactions with our Finance team
