The Sr. Accountant reports to our Corporate Controller.

What Does a Sr. Accountant Do?
- Work to streamline processes for better efficiency, documenting policies, procedures, and training documents.
- Prepare journal entries, maintain records, and reconcile accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Work with store locations to help in recording activity that impacts the general ledger.
- Prepare documentation and support for external auditors and tax specialists.
- Maintain Real Estate and property tax renditions and statements, make monthly accruals, pay taxes when due.
- Calculate and record rebates and inventory related accruals.
- Assist with month end close, acquisition and other accounting tasks as required.
- Assist as needed on ad-hoc projects.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Sr. Accountant?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance environment, retail accounting experience preferred, multi-location experience a plus
- Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Epicor ERP experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to take initiative toward problem resolution as well as prepare back up necessary to satisfy management needs and auditory inquiries.
- Proficient Excel skills should include VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Team player with a “roll-up your sleeves attitude” - comfortable operating in
