What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the executive leadership team and the board of directors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Oversee the preparation, organization, and recording of board meetings, including agendas, minutes, and documentation.
- Lead special projects that advance our strategic goals, working cross-functionally to manage initiatives from inception to completion.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements, maintaining transparency and accountability across the organization.
- Assist in high-level decision-making processes by providing critical insights and ensuring alignment with our non-profit’s mission.
- Maintain up-to-date corporate records, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Record actions taken during board/committee meetings to reflect the board’s proper discharge of its fiduciary duties
- Consultant to the board of directors and to the executive management team.
- Ensure adherence to bylaws and corporate documents.
- Ensure all corporate documents are filed and archived that are required for the governance of Affinity Partners Network New Jersey and its subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with national Easterseals rules and regulations.
- Assist in recruiting new board members and provide onboarding for new board members.
- Liaison with leadership, department heads, and board members to ensure organizational goals are met.
- Interpret and communicate board policy to all stakeholders.
- Verify and execute contracts, leases, and other legal documents on behalf of Affinity Partners Network and subsidiary corporations.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Serves as a liaison with executives, departments heads, and board members, to ensure organizational goals are met.
- Monitors project progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience as a Corporate Secretary or similar role in governance, administration, or project management.
- Strong understanding of non-profit governance and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills—able to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders with ease.
- A strategic mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for making a difference.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, where every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Eight to ten years’ experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum five (5) years of related Executive-level experience with previous experience in a senior level management role required.
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization including executive management
- Able to communicate and carry through the organization’s Vision and Purpose
- Able to make high-quality decisions that drives results
- Excellent planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to set priorities.
- Embodies sound ethical standards and values; holds a high standard of integrity and trust; exhibits strong Business Acumen.
