Corporate Safety Director - Murray Resources

A leading company specializing in architectural canopy solutions is seeking a Corporate Safety Director to oversee and implement safety protocols, procedures, and training across all locations. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in safety management and a solid understanding of industry regulations and best practices. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads and managers to assess safety needs and provide guidance on safety-related matters.
• Coordinate safety training programs, ensuring all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe workplace.
• Monitor incident reports and investigations, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new regulations, and advancements in safety technology to continuously enhance the company's safety standards.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and serve as an expert resource on safety matters during inspections and audits.
• Provide timely and accurate safety reports to management, identifying key performance indicators and areas of concern.
• Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and ownership at all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; A master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience of 10 years as a safety manager or director in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices (OSHA, ANSI, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful safety programs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels
• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and influence change within a diverse workforce
• Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is desirable
