Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) is searching for a Corporate Relations/ Events Manager to be a key member of our Resource Development team. The Corporate Relations/ Events Manager plays a vital role in advancing the mission of BGCNEO by developing and implementing strategies to secure and grow corporate support. This individual will manage a portfolio of current corporate partners while actively cultivating new relationships to generate revenue. A strong understanding of current fundraising trends is essential for success in this role.
Additionally, the Corporate Relations/ Events Manager oversees all BGCNEO events, providing strategic planning, leadership, and direction to ensure their success.
The position is full-time, working remotely within the Northeast Ohio region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate donors that support our organization from $1 to $4,999 annually, ensuring regular engagement and renewal of support.
- Work with the Director of Corporate Relations to identify opportunities to increase corporate employee giving campaigns across a portfolio of donors.
- Identify and pursue new businesses and organizations to support our Mission through networking, presentations and other corporate community engagement opportunities.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations to secure financial gifts, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions from corporate partners.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage corporate employees through volunteer opportunities, workplace giving campaigns, and event participation.
- Support the Director of Corporate Relations by assisting with preparing meeting briefings, campaign materials, and corporate proposals.
- Work with our Volunteer Manager on coordinating volunteer initiatives for corporate partners.
- Provide top quality customer service to corporate constituents, responding to written and verbal inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Work with our Stewardship Manager to cultivate and steward corporate donors by attending outside events and ensuring proper recognition through social platforms, ads and other appropriate media. In addition, coordinating on-site tours of Clubs.
- Contribute to the development of the corporate relations strategy, including annual goals, target lists, and partnership strategies.
- Track and report on corporate partner engagement, revenue goals, and key metrics to Director of Corporate Relations on revenue and expense budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all corporate partner interactions in the donor management system (Little Green Light)
- Maintain required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies.
- Attend and participate in required educational programs and available professional development opportunities.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Events:
- Manage the execution of BGCNEO’s annual events: Race for Kids and the Dare to Dream Gala.
- Lead efforts to prospect and secure corporate sponsorships to meet targeted revenue goals for the event.
- Identify, recruit, and secure executive volunteer leadership for each event. Work with our Stewardship Manager on a year-round cultivation plan for these individuals.
- Work with the Marcom team on the creation of event collateral and proposals for sponsorship consideration. Collaborate with marketing team to ensure sponsor deliverables are met, including branding, communications, and on-site activations.
- Work with outside consultant on ensuring event logistics are on-track.
- Remain current with trends in event planning, design, and production, and proactively identify and solve operational changes.
- Secure in-kind donations (i.e. auction items) for fundraising events.
- Oversee event reconciliation and provide outcomes in a timely manner to the Director of Corporate Relations.
- Manage third party corporate events; including regional board events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or nonprofit fundraising.
- Proven track record in securing corporate partnerships, sponsorships, or significant donations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and present to executive-level audiences.
- Familiarity with donor management systems, CRM software, and basic fundraising reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
