Terra Vista Management is a leading real estate property management firm specializing in managing a portfolio of RV resorts, upscale mobile home parks, marinas and food and beverage operations. Our mission is to deliver exceptional service, management expertise, property level support and innovative management solutions.
We seek a full-time paralegal who will join our in-house legal team and provide essential support in litigation, transactions, corporate governance and administrative matters. Requires a strong understanding of both litigation processes and basic corporate law, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
This position is primarily remote, however, there will be times when the paralegal will need to work at the corporate office in Del Mar, CA, Terra Vista Management’s properties located in Newport Beach, CA, San Diego, CA and Sonoma, CA, or to meet in person with the TVM general counsel.
On any given workday, the paralegal will manage tasking in the following functional areas
Litigation
- Work with the legal team on all stages of litigation, arbitrations and mediations; experience with employment cases is preferred.
- Assist with factual development and analysis of matters, including interviewing employees, gathering and reviewing documents, and analyzing and organizing relevant data.
- Manage the discovery process, including the collection, retention, and production of documents, and reviewing written responses to discovery.
Corporate Governance and Transactions
- Maintain corporate/entity records and minute books.
- Ensure compliance with corporate/entity governance requirements and best practices.
- Assist with transfers of entity membership interests.
- Assist with transactional closings and post-closing issues.
General Support
- Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, contracts, lease forms and other documents.
- Monitor changes to laws, guidelines, or regulations and submit summary reports.
- Conduct research and provide support on various legal issues as needed.
- Help maintain and comply with legal calendar.
- Schedule meetings and prepare appropriate materials.
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic records on matters and assist in maintenance of document files.
- Participate in the design and provision of continual improvement of processes and procedures.
Requires
- Certification or associate degree in paralegal studies (or bachelor’s degree in any field).
- A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a paralegal role, preferably at a large law firm.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications, MS Word and document editing/comparison applications, and MS Excel and spreadsheet/database applications.
- Advanced proficiency in online legal research and internet search resources.

Compensation
Salary contingent on experience. Benefits include paid company holidays, vacation and sick time, two floating holidays, 401(k) with match, and company medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
