This position will report to the Associate General Counsel and ss our next Corporate Paralegal, you will provide transactional paralegal support to our Legal Department by communicating significant issues effectively and efficiently to and from the attorneys and legal staff. You will be managing legal files, conducting research, preparing reports, and handling information requests. An attorney will provide guidance but you will have decision-making authority regarding schedules and escalation of daily priorities.

Job Details
This position will report to the Associate General Counsel and ss our next Corporate Paralegal, you will provide transactional paralegal support to our Legal Department by communicating significant issues effectively and efficiently to and from the attorneys and legal staff. You will be managing legal files, conducting research, preparing reports, and handling information requests. An attorney will provide guidance but you will have decision-making authority regarding schedules and escalation of daily priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND SKILLS
- Responsible for ongoing administrative and paralegal support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Manage and maintain entity documentation including drafting and filing formation documents
- Provide support for corporate matters, i.e., equity and debt transactions, corporate regulatory compliance, securities issuances, and financial reviews.
- Assist and coordinate with shareholder representatives and their compliance needs.
- Provide support in connection with periodic lender compliance reports.
- Provide support in connection with our Board of Directors and Committee meetings,
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and handle special projects as assigned.
- Enhance presentations by creating and editing the appropriate information on slides.
- Prepare expense reports.
- Serve as liaison between our Legal and external parties in connection with corporate matters
- Interact with staff in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism.
- Demonstrate a highly positive attitude, initiative, perspective, and intuitiveness.
- Work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and assist others within the department.
- Superior organizational and prioritization skills, with careful attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Independent judgment for issue identification and creative resolutions.
- Excellent customer service in working with various departments.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal documents.
- Ability to travel out of town as necessary.
- Required to work a flexible schedule according to business needs/events (to include, but not limited to nights and weekends and/or shift rotation).
- Advanced working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, DocuSign, and Adobe.
- Advanced understanding of contract and file management solutions.
- Paralegal certification, preferred
- Associate degree or higher, preferred
- 5 consecutive years or equivalent work-related experience supporting in-house legal department and/or law firm partners
- Experience working with a general counsel and boards of directors is preferred
