This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Corporate Paralegal to join our dynamic in house legal team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our legal department with a variety of corporate matters including corporate governance, contracts management, and litigation management. The role demands a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of corporate law, excellent research skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support to the legal department, including preparation and filing of documents, managing corporate records, and maintaining corporate governance materials.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee the contracts database, ensuring all contracts are properly executed and stored.
- Assist with litigation management, including the preparation and organization of documents, coordination with outside counsel, and tracking of litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports on various legal and regulatory issues.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate reports and other regulatory filings.
- Support the legal team with various projects as needed, such as corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence activities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Corporate Paralegal or similar role in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and general legal procedures.
- Proven experience in corporate governance, contracts management, and litigation management.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze and interpret legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
