Summary:
This role is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and monitoring safety and health programs for the corporation, ensuring compliance with regional and global regulations. The position is also responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring specific initiatives to engage employees in the environmental, health, and safety programs.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of air emissions regulations.
- Utilize regulatory knowledge and experience to develop, improve, and implement Rogers Corporation Global EHS programs.
- Leads global auditing and management systems.
- Ensures compliance with permits and completes reports in accordance with regional requirements.
- Oversees and improves the EHS on-line training program.
- Cultivates a culture that identifies health and safety opportunities, documenting trends for predictive analysis.
- Performs hazard risk analyses, determining effective controls and implementing risk mitigation.
- Guides incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with M&A EHS requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety/Health, Science or a related field
- 5-7+ years of EH&S experience
- 5+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment
- Computer software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Power BI)
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of EH&S regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Technical writing skills
- RCRA, DOT, Tier 2, and TRI Training and experience preferred
- Experience with federal, AZ state, and Maricopa County preferred
- Experience in expanding operations and developing compliance plans under Mexican EH&S regulations preferred
