About the Job
As a Corporate In-House Attorney, You Will:
- Provide legal counsel to senior management, business leaders, and operational teams on a wide array of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs, ensuring that terms align with the company’s best interests.
- Advise on corporate governance matters, including board of director meetings, shareholder communications, and compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- Support the company’s strategic business initiatives through legal analysis, ensuring legal risks are identified and appropriately managed.
- Manage corporate legal matters related to intellectual property, employment law, and dispute resolution.
- Work with external counsel as needed on litigation, regulatory inquiries, and other specialized legal matters.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations that impact the company’s operations and industry.
- Conduct legal training and provide guidance to business teams on relevant legal topics and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist with risk assessment and develop strategies to manage and minimize legal exposure across the business.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal files and documentation in accordance with company policies.
As a Corporate In-House Attorney, You Have:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
- At least five years of experience in corporate law, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in negotiating and drafting complex contracts and legal documents.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Proactive, results-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality legal support.
As a Corporate In-House Attorney, We Would Appreciate If You Have:
- Experience in healthcare technology and specifically medical devices.
- In-house legal experience at a technology corporation
- Familiarity with international legal and regulatory frameworks.
