About the Job
Job Title: G/L Accountant
The G/L Accountant is responsible for the financial statement preparation for multiple hotel properties including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end procedures, payroll, taxes, reconciliations, with all being processed on a timely basis in accordance with American Liberty Hospitality Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financials for multiple hotel properties
- Review and process property Income journals daily.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Review and reconcile Hotel A/Rs.
- Prepare and file sales and use and occupancy tax returns for properties as needed.
- Prepare and manage GL account reconciliations on selected GL accounts
- Work with property level personnel to resolve hotel accounting matters as needed.
- Responsible for timely and accurate work production.
- Train and Support the A/P team as needed
- Manage fixed asset additions.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Previous hotel experience preferred
- Accounting degree preferred
- High school degree or equivalent
- Problem solver.
- Work within a team setting.
- Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
