About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, with a keen understanding of the construction industry. This role will be crucial in providing strategic financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting key decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the single-family construction business.
- Analyze financial results and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Performance Analysis:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, project management, and sales, to gather relevant data and insights.
- Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, helping them understand financial impacts and make informed decisions.
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives, including new project evaluations, investment appraisals, and profitability analysis.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function.
- Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and manage financial risks associated with the single-family construction business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and matrix environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
