Position Summary: As the Corporate Equipment Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal performance of our manufacturing plants, particularly in addressing chronic downtime issues. From liquid packaging lines to high-speed equipment, you'll be the go-to expert, providing both on-site and remote technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a lifeline during downtime crises, offering expert support on-site and remotely.
- Cultivate strong relationships with plant teams through effective communication and solution-oriented approaches.
- Lead installation and retrofit activities on liquid packaging lines.
- Evaluate and enhance preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate equipment overhauls and rebuilds.
- Develop long-term asset care plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with plant teams on day-to-day troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues.
- Handle troubleshooting of various bottling and support equipment.
- Coordinate vendor support during critical downtime events.
- Drive structured problem-solving exercises to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Support automation hardware and software, including PLCs and industrial networks.
- Ensure optimal line controls for performance excellence.
- Manage capital projects and new equipment installations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of experience.
- Strong background in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Experience interpreting technical documents and diagrams.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree, extensive field service experience, beverage or food industry background, familiarity with PLCs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, including nights and weekends for emergency support.
- Must pass background and drug tests.
