Midas Hospitality is seeking a Corporate Director of Revenue Management to join the team. This person will function as the revenue management business leader for the company by supervising a team of centralized revenue management professionals, providing revenue management direction, leadership, training, systems and standards to create value and grow market share. This person will use revenue management expertise, industry knowledge and economic intelligence to anticipate challenges, create solutions, and make optimal business decisions for the portfolio and the individual hotels.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Build a high performing, competitive revenue management team to meet the demands of the business with an eye toward innovation to produce best in class results.
- Demonstrate an expert level understanding of national hotel brands' revenue management systems and requirements, as well as 3rd party distribution channel and marketing platforms.
- Directly supervise the centralized revenue management team in the development, execution, and measurement of the strategic plan for all market segments and revenue streams.
- Provide resources, systems, standards, and initiatives to maximize each hotel's top line revenue, profit, and market share.
- Coordinate with the revenue management team and the property level leadership, including the General Manager and Director of Sales, to ensure a strategic mix of business, pricing strategy, and distribution plan is set for each property based on current market conditions.
- Assist the Revenue Team of each hotel in analyzing and interpreting market conditions and trends todetermine the correct pricing and mix of business appropriate for their hotel.
- Anticipate future industry and economic trends or threats to the assetand offers strategic direction to mitigate revenue shortfalls.
- Research better, faster, smarter and more efficient ways to optimize revenue management
- Work in tandem with the Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure the portfolio is receiving the necessary attention to support defined strategies and action plans.
- Recruit, hire and train a team of competitive revenue management professionals.
- Responsible for continual leadership, communication, systems and strategy development of existing revenue management professionals
- Keep current will all brand revenue management systems, tools, standards, and programs and ensures the revenue management team takes advantage of the brand resources.
- Active involvement in underperforming assets, transitions, and rebranding
- Communicates key market information and revenue management trends to the Senior Leadership team
- Participate in the development of the annual business plan, providing guidance on the mix of sales, F&B contribution, competitive positioning, and overall strategic vision to achieve the desired performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years in a revenue management leadership position with multi-unit experience
- Systems knowledge of at least one major brand (IHG, Marriott or Hilton)
- Proficient in Excel
- Two or four year degree in Hospitality Management, Business or a related major
