Responsibilities:The Role:
The AMD Law Department is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to join the Patent & Technology Law team. In this dynamic role, you will support technology and intellectual property transactions, provide legal counsel on engineering and business matters, develop legal guidelines, and collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to drive AMD’s business and technical objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where strategic thinking, collaboration, and next-level customer service are key. Your expertise will be instrumental in drafting and negotiating agreements, counseling clients, and navigating legal complexities to enable AMD’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and provide counsel on technology and intellectual property transactions and associated legal matters.
- Collaborate closely with technical and business professionals to support strategic objectives.
- Review legal issues related to AI solutions and develop associated legal guidelines.
- Develop and deliver training to clients on legal and compliance topics.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including business units, operations, global trade, and finance/accounting, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
Preferred Experience:
- Progressive experience in a law firm and/or in-house counsel roles.
- Expertise in technology transactions, AI solutions, and intellectual property law.
- Proven experience working with diverse stakeholders, from senior leaders to technical and business contributors.
- Background in the semiconductor or computing industry is a strong plus.
Academic Credentials:
- Juris Doctorate degree (or international equivalent).
- Admission to practice law in a U.S. state.

Qualifications:At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
