Corporate Counsel (Commercial Contracts) - LHH

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting an employee owned, national construction corporation in their search for a Corporate Counsel (Construction) for the company's growing regional headquarters in Columbus, OH

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of substantial experience within a law firm and/or in-house legal department including the support of commercial operations,construction relationships, supply chain agreements, project development, project operations, and commercial operations teams.
• Background in construction and utilities preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, strong negotiation skills, superior problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills
• Strong track record of negotiating, reviewing, revising, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, development agreements, supply agreements, and energy services agreements.
• Must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Bar admission with good standing to practice law in Ohio

About the Role

• This is an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced corporate attorney to join a dynamic team in a fast growing industry.
• This role will primarily focus on agreements with construction general contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, professional service providers, and other vendors, and will require expertise in commercial contracting, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• This is an on-siterole that does require regular onsite presence in Columbus, Ohio
