Corporate Controller / VP of Finance

Our client is a publicly traded financial company based in West Palm Beach. We are seeking a Corporate Controller / VP of Finance. The position will include all traditional duties and responsibilities

Controller duties and responsibilities.

• Application of accounting policies
• Certification of accurate financial statements
• Preparing internal and external financial statements
• Certification of accurate financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data, including ad hoc data required for parent company public reporting
• Leading team of 2 to 4 associates
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
• On-balance sheet loans data tape analysis and preparation

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

• Financial modeling and forecasting
• Competitive industry analysis
• Regulatory compliance
• Preparing monthly critical accounting estimates of chargeback reserves
• Renewal of state-by-state origination licenses (in some states, multiple licenses are required)

To help ensure an excellent fit for both the candidate and our client, we are seeking candidates with the following experience/skills/traits.

• Experience with a large company or conglomerate is desired , publicly traded is a plus
• Asset Based Securitization
• Capital markets forward flow is helpful
• Excellent PowerPoint skills
• Overseeing chargeback reserves and ensuring adequacy of reserve estimates
• Review and streamline our accounting and financial process
• Ability to relocate to West Palm Beach or live in SE Florida
