We are seeking a strategic and experienced Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team and lead our financial operations. The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational improvement.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to assess potential risks and opportunities and make informed business decisions.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations, driving process improvements, and delivering strategic financial insights.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
